Not just nearly green but really green. A trite phrase but we have tried our hardest to live up to it.

Sue & Hugho, our founders, maintain a steadfast view on this; simply put it is: “Cheap to buy but expensive to destroy or recycle……..is not sustainable”

Yum Yum Products are more expensive, yes: are they worth it, definitely yes!
It is for the future of our grandchildren and their environment that we must pay a little more now.

Yum Yum Products contain ‘actives’, grown natural ingredients, that stimulate tissue growth and nurture the skin and hair with organic ingredients and others making a synergy of delights for our well being. We have developed products that will be practical, as well as regenerative or interactive; kind for us and for our environment.

Yum Yum Products are manufactured in the U.K. using low energy (carbon) levels. We have been at the forefront of low energy (carbon) manufacturing since 1991. This means that by choice of formulation and manufacturing methodology we use the lowest energy level possible to produce a finished product.

Manufacturing in the U.K. also has benefits for other countries too. We are highly regulated here as to what we can pour down our drains, or release into the atmosphere. We care deeply about our environment, in the ‘third world’ such regulation is rare or non existent so it is cheaper for other companies to manufacture there because they can pollute without being accountable. By manufacturing here we choose to be regulated. 

As standard practice since 1991 Yum Yum Products have been sold in completely recyclable and biodegradable containers. Our plastic pots are plant based. The labels are printed by a local company using non toxic ink and easy peel non toxic glue; the labels are all recyclable with the bottles or pots as well.

The Label is easily removed making the container reusable as well as recyclable. Customers have found many new uses for their containers as children’s paint pots, water sprays, or for decanting smaller quantities of product into for travelling.

We do not sell Yum Yum Products in retail boxes because of the waste of packaging and energy to do this. We feel that it is better to spend the money on the contents of the pot rather than on the box surrounding it. This gives our customers a higher quality product. We use recycled materials where possible. For example the trans shipper packaging is made of recycled cardboard which is more expensive than buying virgin cardboard.

Yum Yum Products use concentrated formulations this means that a small amount of product is used by our customers. A small amount goes a long way. This has benefits in so many ways, less energy is used to move products to a customer, less packaging is used. Also the interval between purchasing is greater, together these make savings that can help in our environment and in our customers purse.

Our ingredients are also biodegradable and non toxic. After a customer has used Yum Yum Products they biodegrade in the detrital system efficiently, this cycle breaks down waste and rebuilds it to ‘food’ for consumption by other organisms.

Yum Yum Products have a high quality threshold. We make a superb product in a sensible and kind way. All of our products are fantastic on their own, but when used in conjunction with each other the results are truly superb. Currently, June 2009, Yum Yum Products is a range of 16 skin care products and 19 hair care products. Yum Yum Products is for a customer’s body working in harmony with their skin and hair as well as with our environment and future.

Yum Yum Products as well as being an environmentally conscious company is also an ethical company too. Ethics, the moral principals influencing or governing our conduct, are important to us. We share our world with others and we should have respect for them and their space.

We do not use ‘slave labour’ or ‘child labour’ we make our products in the U.K. paying a fair wage for a fair days work. All products are tested on human volunteers, not on other animals, and do not contain any animal ingredients or animal by-products. We do not use third party companies who test on animals on our behalf; so we may claim not to. We test on human volunteers because it is correct to do so.

Yum Yum Products is the synergy of what we know to be good for humans and our conjoined environment. Our products are for now. As the world finally starts the transition to a new state of doing. More humans are consuming and this is altering the balance of our planets resources. This is obvious now, energy price hikes, raw material price rises, the terrible pollution of the carbon economy and its ensuing climactic changes devastating crops etc. The chaos in financial, economic and social systems is obvious now to almost every consumer in the world’s market place.
